- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Monitor and manage food stock levels to minimize waste and maintain efficiency.
- Assist in receiving and storing ingredients properly to maintain freshness and quality.
- Follow all food safety regulations and HACCP standards.
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff and Commis chefs in Peranakan culinary techniques.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation according to restaurant or hotel standards.
- Support mise en place (ingredient preparation), ensuring all necessary components are ready for service.
- Work with a variety of traditional Peranakan ingredients, herbs, and spices.
