Position Summary:

Hotel Frontdesk Assistant Supervisor responsibilities include providing all a hotel’s guests with an accommodating experience by coordinating amenities and responding to customer needs. Their duties include greeting people as they enter the lobby, fielding calls from guests and helping visitors check into their rooms.

Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.

Job Requirement:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Secondary School/SPM Level Higher Secondary/STPM/"A" Level/Pre-U, Professional Certificate, any field
  • A friendly and welcoming approach
  • Ability to remain calm during difficult situations or in a very busy environment
  • Availability to work shift (morning, noon & night)
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Support & Supervision:

  • Assist in leading and supervising the front desk team, ensuring that all tasks are performed to the highest standards.
  • Support the Senior Receptionist Supervisor in scheduling shifts and managing staff coverage.
  • Act as a point of contact for front desk staff, addressing any questions or concerns.

Guest Services:

  • Provide exceptional service to guests during check-in/check-out and throughout their stay.
  • Assist in resolving guest complaints and ensuring a positive guest experience.
  • Handle special requests and coordinate with other departments to meet guest needs.

Operational Assistance:

  • Help manage daily front desk operations, including room assignments, reservations, and payment processing.
  • Ensure that the front desk area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assist with managing group bookings, VIP arrivals, and special events.
  • Answering queries (Booking.com, Agoda & Softinn)
  • Dealing with OTA and Boat Agent.

Administrative & Documentation Duties:

  • Support the preparation of daily reports, including occupancy, revenue, and any incidents.
  • Assist with cash handling, including balancing cash drawers and processing payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest interactions and follow up on unresolved issues.
  • Maintain accurate record of e-filling and summary Report (SIF, Official Receipt, Tax Invoices & Online Payment in Advance).
  • Double checking the hardcopy of documents (Tax Invoices, SIF, Official Receipt).

Training & Development:

  • Assist in training new front desk staff on hotel procedures, software, and customer service standards.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to team members, helping them improve their performance.
  • Help monitor staff performance and provide feedback to the Senior Receptionist Supervisor.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure that front desk operations comply with hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain guest confidentiality and security protocols, including key control.
  • Assist in responding to emergency situations according to hotel procedures.

Perform any other related duties as assigned by the management or supervisors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
