
Digital Display Technician
Installation & Setup Install and configure LED Lighting systems, LED display panels, holographic displays, and digital signage systems for both internal and client projects. Ensure proper wiring, mounting, and structural integrity of display systems, maintaining high quality and safety standards. Work alongside the project team to ensure accurate alignment and placement of screens. Assist in integrating LED displays with other visual technologies (e.g., lighting systems, audio systems). Maintenance & Troubleshooting Conduct regular inspections and perform scheduled maintenance on LED displays and related systems to ensure they remain in optimal condition. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including pixel failures, signal interruptions, electrical malfunctions, and connectivity problems. Repair or replace faulty components, such as LED modules, controllers, and power supplies. Test and calibrate display systems to ensure the correct display quality, colors, and brightness. Technical Support Provide on-site and remote technical support for clients, troubleshooting issues with digital display and lighting systems. Assist clients with the setup, configuration, and operation of content management software for digital displays. Collaborate with IT/network teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of networked display systems. LED Lighting Systems Knowledge Integrate LED display systems with DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) and DMX 512 lighting control systems for enhanced visual effects and synchronization. Configure and troubleshoot lighting protocols to achieve dynamic lighting and display synchronization. Assist in the setup and integration of lighting controls with digital displays for events and installations. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations when handling electrical equipment, wiring, and installations. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) where required and ensure safe work practices during installations, maintenance, and repairs. Document any safety incidents or hazards immediately and take corrective actions as needed. Collaboration & Communication Collaborate with the design and project management teams to ensure the correct specifications for display systems and technologies. Communicate with clients to provide training on display system operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Provide technical recommendations for system upgrades, improvements, and expansions.
Education & Experience Diploma or Certification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Audio-Visual Technology, Lighting Systems, or a related field. At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in LED displays, AV systems, or digital signage. Fresh graduates with relevant technical skills may be considered. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of LED display controllers (e.g., Novastar, Colorlight, Huidu, etc.). Familiarity with DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) and DMX 512 lighting control systems. Ability to configure, troubleshoot, and integrate lighting systems with digital display systems. Proficient in video processors, HDMI/SDI signal transmission, and video calibration software. Basic understanding of electrical wiring, networking, and video processing. Soft Skills Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to troubleshoot and repair display systems effectively. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills for clear interaction with clients and team members. Attention to detail for accurate display alignment, wiring, and technical specifications. Other Requirements Willingness to travel for on-site installations and support. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
