VMC MILLING SPECIALIST

POSITION: VMC MILLING SPECIALIST CIRCLE SPIN PRECISION ENGINEERING SDN BHD. seeks a VMC MILLING SPECIALIST to help design test our planned upcoming projects with crate dependable, hardworking products benefitting out company’s development • Develop 2.5D and 3D toolpaths using CAM software • Customize and verify post-processors for VMC machines. • Manually edit G-code and M-code • Design and implement tool libraries in CAM software. • Integrate probing cycles into the CAM program • Manage program versioning and revision tracking through DNC or ERP systems. • Program multi-sided setups using indexing heads or fixtures. • Perform complete VMC machine setup: vise/fixture mounting, tool loading, offset setting. • Use CMM or manual inspection tools for in-process checks. • Apply GD&T interpretation to ensure compliance with blueprint specifications. • Create detailed setup sheets with fixture diagrams, tool lists, and program IDs. • Use ERP systems to track job progress, issue parts, and record completions. • Optimize toolpaths for material removal efficiency and surface finish. • Create subroutines and modular code blocks for repeatable cycles. • Set up high-speed machining tools with precision length and diameter measurements. • Apply correct cutting parameters based on material specs and tool life. • Control burrs and edge breaks with secondary toolpaths or deburring passes. • Monitor part deflection and thermal expansion during long cycle times. • Machine thin-walled components with anti-vibration strategies. • Calibrate and realign machine geometry • Implement tool life management systems with tool change alarms. • Use thermal compensation techniques during long or heated machining cycles. • Troubleshoot CNC alarms and error codes • Report and log machine abnormalities for preventive maintenance. • Ensure safe and efficient handover between shifts with documented part status. • Communicate with design/engineering for manufacturability and tolerance adjustments. • Train junior machinists and operators on VMC operation best practices. • Support process improvement projects using Lean and 5S principles. • Comply with ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949 standards in production environments. REQUIREMENTS: The required skills for the position VMC MILLING SPECIALIST are: Min 5 years in experience VMC MILLING Advanced GD&T interpretation and application 5-axis and complex 3D CAM programming Fixture design for multi-face machining and repeat setups Multi-operation workflow planning Knowledge of CNC controllers Experience with CAM software Experience with CMM
