Job Title: Salesforce Lead Developer Position Summary: The Salesforce Lead Developer is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Salesforce system, including supporting production environments, implementing new enhancements, and ensuring compliance with all relevant IT security and regulatory standards. The role will involve working with both technical and business teams to deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions and enhancements. Key Responsibilities: Production Support: Provide ongoing production support for existing Salesforce (SFDC) modules in the live environment. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs in accordance with the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Ensure timely resolution of issues while minimizing system downtime. Requirements Gathering and Enhancement Design: Work with business users to gather and understand new requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and propose appropriate Salesforce enhancements. Design solutions based on business needs and create detailed design documentation for approval sign-off. Salesforce Development: Implement new system enhancements using Salesforce APEX programming language. Customize Salesforce modules, develop and implement new features, and ensure they align with the company’s strategic goals. Design and build high-performance, reusable, and scalable code. System Integration and Testing: Conduct thorough system integration testing to ensure the new enhancements work seamlessly with the existing systems. Support users during their User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase and assist in resolving any issues that arise during testing. Documentation: Provide comprehensive system documentation for all new Salesforce enhancements, ensuring that all changes are well-documented for future reference and knowledge transfer. Ensure that all design and technical documentation is clear, complete, and updated regularly. Compliance and Security: Adhere to all IT security standards defined by the Company and Bank Negara Malaysia. Ensure that all development and enhancements comply with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) regulations. Regularly review the system’s security and ensure that it meets or exceeds required security standards. Issue Escalation and Resolution: Escalate all unresolved system issues promptly to the Company’s IT manager for resolution. Work closely with the IT manager to ensure effective problem resolution, minimizing any operational disruption. Project Delivery: Deliver all approved Salesforce projects on time and within budget as per the agreed deadlines. Ensure that all deliverables meet the business requirements and are of the highest quality. Coordinate with project managers and business teams to ensure timely project completion. Required Skills & Qualifications: Extensive experience in Salesforce development with proficiency in APEX, Visualforce, and Lightning components. Strong understanding of Salesforce modules and integration capabilities. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, particularly in a production environment. In-depth knowledge of Salesforce best practices, including security, configuration, and development. Familiarity with Salesforce development tools, such as Salesforce DX, Visual Studio Code, and the Salesforce CLI. Strong understanding of IT security standards and regulations, particularly in the Malaysian context. Familiarity with Malaysia’s PDPA regulations and ability to ensure compliance in all aspects of the development process. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience with system integration and working in Agile environments. Preferred Qualifications: Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II). Experience with other CRM tools or platforms, especially related to financial services. Knowledge of Bank Negara Malaysia’s IT guidelines and financial regulatory standards.
