Virtualization Engineer

Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain the virtualization infrastructure, including server hardware and hypervisors. - Build, configure, and patch Nutanix, Hyper-V, and VMware virtualization environments. - Administer and manage Office 365 and Microsoft Windows environments. - Perform server provisioning, deployments, and migrations across virtualized environments. - Develop and implement strategies for virtualization infrastructure optimization, performance tuning, and capacity planning. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose and implement virtualization solutions that align with business requirements. - Stay up-to-date with the latest virtualization technologies and industry best practices. - Document virtualization infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures for future reference and knowledge transfer. - Maintain up-to-date documentation for virtualization environments, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures. Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing virtualized environments. In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or similar platforms. - Strong understanding of networking, storage, and server technologies in virtualized environments. - Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash. - Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues. - Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus. - Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are desirable. - Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
