Roles & Responsibilities 1. 3D Modeling & Asset Creation Create high-quality 3D models (characters, props, environments) for AR, VR, and game projects. Develop both high-poly and low-poly models, optimized for real-time engines like Unity and Unreal Engine. Ensure clean topology, UV mapping, and texture baking for optimal performance. Apply PBR (Physically Based Rendering) textures using Substance Painter, Photoshop, and Quixel. 2. 3D Animation Animate characters, creatures, and objects for AR/VR applications and games. Develop realistic and stylized motion cycles, facial animations, and dynamic movements. Work with motion capture data to refine and enhance character animations. Ensure animations align with gameplay mechanics and interactive experiences. 3. Rigging & Skinning Create and refine rigs for characters, props, and vehicles. Set up IK/FK rigs, controllers, and blendshapes for seamless animation. Optimize rigs for real-time engines, ensuring efficient performance. 4. Optimization & Technical Compliance Optimize 3D assets and animations for AR/VR applications and mobile platforms. Work with LOD (Level of Detail) techniques to ensure smooth rendering. Troubleshoot and fix issues related to topology, normal maps, and keyframe interpolation. 5. Collaboration & Pipeline Integration Work closely with game developers, technical artists, and creative directors to integrate assets. Ensure seamless animation-to-engine workflow in Unity and Unreal Engine. Assist with storyboarding and pre-visualization for animation sequences. 6. Research & Innovation Stay updated on the latest trends in animation, AR/VR, and gaming technologies. Experiment with AI-driven animation tools, procedural modeling, and real-time rendering. Explore physics-based animation and real-time VFX integration. Skills Requirements 1. Technical Skills 3D Modeling Software: Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, ZBrush Animation Software: Maya, Blender, MotionBuilder Game Engine Experience: Unity, Unreal Engine (UE5) Texturing & UV Mapping: Substance Painter, Photoshop, Quixel Rigging & Skinning: Advanced rigging and weight painting in Maya or Blender Motion Capture (Bonus): Experience with MoCap cleanup and retargeting Scripting & Automation (Bonus): Python/MEL for animation and rigging tools 2. Soft Skills Creativity & Artistic Sense: Strong understanding of movement, weight, timing, and anatomy Problem-Solving: Ability to debug animation issues and optimize assets for real-time Attention to Detail: Ensuring animations are fluid, lifelike, and polished Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with developers, artists, and designers Time Management: Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines Preferred Experience 5+ years of experience in 3D animation and modeling for AR, VR, or game development. Experience working in a creative agency, game studio, or VFX production. Knowledge of physics-based animation, procedural animation, or AI-driven animation tools is a plus.
