Material Planner

Job Description: Material Requirements Planning: • Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production schedules and forecasts. • Ensure that materials are available to meet production deadlines. • Work closely with Planner and Purchasing on material replenishment planning to minimize inventory while fulfilling customer order Inventory Management: • Monitor inventory levels and manage the replenishment of materials. • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. • Optimize inventory levels to minimize costs while ensuring sufficient supply. Supply Chain Coordination: • Communicate with purchasing to ensure timely delivery of materials. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. • Address any issues or delays with suppliers promptly. Order Processing: • Responsible for establishing raw material requirements based on the Production Plan and raising purchase requisition. • Track and expedite orders as necessary. • Ensure accuracy in order quantities, specifications, and delivery dates. • Liaise with the Purchasing Department to ensure the required materials are purchased on time Collaboration: • Work closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to align material planning with production goals. • Coordinate with other departments to resolve any material-related issues. Forecasting and Analysis: • Analyze production schedules and forecasts to determine material needs. • Identify potential risks and shortages and develop mitigation plans. • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis. Qualifications: • Minimum SPM/Diploma in any field • At least 2 years of working experience in a related field. • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skill.Ability to coordinate production schedules and manage inventory levels. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures. • Ability to forecast material needs and ensure timely availability of resources • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. • Good command of both written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English. • Ensuring accuracy in material planning and inventory management. • Familiar with ISO9001, ISO13485 and ISO14000 standard.
