Job Description: "1) Supervision and Leadership :" • Supervise and lead a team of welders, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance and providing training. • Ensure that team members adhere to safety protocols, welding standards and company policies. • Foster a positive environment and promote teamwork and collaboration. 2. Production Oversight : • Oversee welding operations to ensure that all work meets design specifications and quality standards and project dealines. • Monitor production schedules and ensure that welding task are completed on time and within budget. • Coordinate with other departments (e.g. engineering, maintenance, quality control) to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issue. 3. Quality Control : • Inspect welded products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements. • Address and resolve any quality issues promptly, implementing corrective action as needed. • Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality control measures. 4. Process Improvement : • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity. • Monitor production metrics and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement. • Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to optimize equipment and processes. 5. Equipment Maintenance : • Oversee the maintenance and repair of welding equipment to ensure optimal performance. • Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule regular equipment inspections and servicing. • Ensure that all welding equipment is used correctly and safety. 6. Reporting and documentation : • Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime and quality metrics. • Prepare and submit regular reports to the Production Manager on production performance, issue and improvements. • Ensure that all the documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements. Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in welding(e.g. AWS Certified Welding Supervisor) is preferred. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in welding with at least 2 years in supervisory role. • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Proficient in various welding techniques (e.g. MIG, TIG, arc welding) and familiar with welding equipment. • Knowledge of welding standards and quality control processes. • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
