The Marketing & Communications Manager supports the Managing Director Malaysia and GVPR API REGION in driving brand visibility, engagement, and support business growth through targeted marketing campaigns, PR activities, digital content, and internal/external communications. Acting as a brand custodian, the role assists in overseeing the global application of the GAC brand both internally and externally. This is a shared-function position that combines both local and regional responsibilities. 1. Marketing and Communications plan for Malaysia and API Region • Develop, implement and execute, review and continuously update integrated marketing and communications strategies tailored to both Malaysia and API REGION. • Collaborate with senior leadership to align marketing plans with overall business goals and objectives, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding across the region. 2 . Develop and implement brand awareness campaigns • Ensure that the brand is positioned according to corporate standards and the brand handbook. • Lead brand positioning and ensure a consistent, compelling narrative across all marketing and communication channels. • Oversee the execution of regional and local campaigns, digital marketing efforts, and PR strategies to enhance brand visibility and reputation. • Development of collaterals, such as brochures, presentations etc 3. Lead local and regional projects • Drive projects related to websites, photoshoots, videos, campaign microsites, apps, etc. • Plan and execute regional and local events, trade shows, webinars, and conferences as required to promote the company and foster networking opportunities. • Ensure smooth event logistics, from planning and promotion to post-event analysis. • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, HR, product management, and regional counterparts, to support business initiatives. • Serve as a liaison between Corporate Comms and local teams to ensure alignment on strategy and initiatives. 4. Content Development & Digital Marketing • Ensure all digital platforms such as websites and social media, are updated within the Group’s strategy. • Manage the creation of high-quality content (e.g., website, social media, multimedia and LinkedIn) to engage target audiences effectively. • Coordinate digital marketing efforts, including paid ads, and email campaigns, with a focus on lead generation and brand awareness. 5. Market research and analysis for brand development • Ensure that research is done periodically to ensure relevancy and to stay abreast of current trends. • •Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets and influencers across Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region. • Develop and manage press releases, media kits, and public relations campaigns to drive positive media coverage and brand storytelling. • Monitor and analyze marketing performance, market trends, and competitor activities to inform strategy and optimize campaigns. • Report on the effectiveness of marketing and communications activities (eg ROI, engagement metrics, and KPIs). 6.
