About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Finance to join our team who will support the day-to-day finance operations for the Care Experience Business


The ideal candidate will have a mindset of continuous improvement and change, demonstrate curiosity, collaboration and the ability to deal with ambiguity, especially in a start-up environment. You are passionate about providing excellent internal business support and have prior experience in accounting and audit.


This role is based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia


A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Engage in the full spectrum of the accounting functions (AP, AR, GL), treasury operations and taxation for timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financials. This includes:
    • General book keeping for generation of balance sheet, income and cash flow statements
    • Bank payment support
    • Accounts receivables reconciliation
    • Ensuring compliance with relation to annual statutory reporting / filings and monthly taxation submissions
  • Provide support to the Group Consolidation team, including but not limited to, supporting the yearly audit exercise and assisting in preparation of audit-related schedules and documentation
  • Provide support to the Group FP&A team, including but not limited to, budgeting exercises and forecasts / monthly management reporting and analysis
  • Identify, discuss and suggest solutions in consultation with the management for continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of operation
  • Any other ad hoc duties as assigned

About you

  • Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration or ACCA graduate with minimum 4-5 years of experience in a similar capacity
  • Prior experience in mid-tier audit firm and/or healthcare industry will be an added advantage
  • CA or CPA preferred
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, audit and taxation
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software preferably in Oracle NetSuite and MS office / G-suite applications
  • Meticulous, independent, proactive, responsible, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Unquestioned integrity and high standards in the work you do
  • A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to learn new things - we’re not done growing, and heading into uncharted territories is part of the fun!
