KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies for retail and HQ positions
  • Partner with retail area managers to forecast staffing needs and reduce turnover
  • Manage job postings, interview processes, and onboarding programs
  • Establish and maintain a strong employer brand in the retail job market

2) Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and workplace issues
  • Handle disciplinary actions, investigations, and grievances professionally
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture across all stores
  • Develop engagement programs to boost morale, productivity, and retention

3) HR Operations & Administration

  • Oversee payroll, time attendance, and HR information systems (HRIS)
  • Ensure accurate employee records, contracts, and compliance documentation
  • Coordinate benefits programs, including insurance and staff perks
  • Manage and update HR policies, SOPs, and company handbook

4) Training & Development

  • Identify skill gaps and develop training roadmaps for store and office staff
  • Organize and evaluate in-house training, e-learning, and third-party courses
  • Implement leadership development and succession planning initiatives
  • Foster a learning culture that supports staff development and growth

5) Performance Management

  • Coordinate regular performance appraisals and goal-setting processes
  • Guide managers in delivering effective feedback and coaching
  • Recommend promotions, transfers, or disciplinary actions based on reviews
  • Analyze performance data and propose improvement strategies

6) Compliance & Policy Management

  • Ensure all HR practices comply with local labor laws and retail regulations
  • Monitor contract expiry dates, probation reviews, and employee movements
  • Liaise with legal counsel or government authorities when needed
  • Maintain employee confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

7) Strategic HR Planning

  • Contribute to organizational planning, restructuring, and expansion projects
  • Provide HR insights and metrics to assist senior management in decision-making
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the workforce
  • Align HR policies with the company’s vision, mission, and values

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in HR, preferably in a retail, FMCG, or sales-driven environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Hands-on experience in handling multi-location retail operations is highly desirable
  • Proficient in HRMS/HRIS platforms and payroll systems
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills
  • Analytical, resourceful, and highly organized with a solution-driven mindset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
