CNC Machinist

Job Description: "1. Machine Operation:" • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes, turning) to produce precision parts. • Load raw materials into machines and secure them properly. • Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy. 2. Programming and Setup: • Conduct tests to evaluate performance before and after adjustments. • Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and attachments for each job. "• Calibrate machines to ensure proper alignment and operation. " 3. Quality Control : • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet specifications. • Make adjustments to machines or programs to correct errors and maintain quality. • Document inspection results and report any issues to supervisors. 4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance. • Diagnose and troubleshoot machine malfunctions or programming errors. • Replace worn or damaged tools and components as needed. 5. Safety Compliance : • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). • Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents. • Adhere to company policies and industry regulations. 6. Collaboration: • Work closely with engineers, designers, and other machinists to resolve technical issues. • Communicate with supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines. 7. Documentation : • Maintain detailed records of production check sheet, PM records, toolife records. • Report any equipment malfunctions or material shortage to supervisors. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in CNC machining is preferred. • 2+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role • Strong understanding of machining principles, tools, and materials • Proficiency in operating CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes, turning) • Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code, M-code) and CAM software. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and geometric tolerances. • Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments as needed. • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. • Relevant certifications in sheet metal fabrication and weldment are an advantage
