JOB SUMMARY
The Management Trainee will work closely with the Executive Director to gain hands-on experience in business development, market analysis, and supply chain optimization. This role offers structured training and exposure to high-level strategic decision-making, equipping the trainee with the skills to drive growth and improve operational efficiency. The role reports directly to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
- Assist in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion strategies.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support growth initiatives.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and business cases for prospective clients or partners.
- Contribute to the execution of strategic plans, including pricing strategies and customer engagement activities.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop lead generation strategies.
2. Supply Chain Management
- Support supply chain activities including planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory control.
- Evaluate supplier performance, cost effectiveness, and lead times to improve operational efficiency.
- Assist in implementing process improvements to streamline the supply chain and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless integration across procurement, warehousing, and distribution.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with finance, operations, and sales teams to align business strategies with supply chain objectives.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve overall business performance and operational efficiency.
4. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze performance metrics, supply chain data, and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in developing reports and presentations to communicate key insights and recommendations to management.
5. Project Management & Professional Development
- Participate in special projects led by the Executive Director, including cost optimization, supplier negotiations, and market expansion.
- Undergo structured training and mentorship focused on enhancing analytical, strategic, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Gain firsthand exposure to executive-level discussions and corporate decision-making processes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Proactive, resourceful, and open to taking on new challenges.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business analytics tools is a plus.
