Job Description:

The Facility Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the organization’s facilities, creating a safe and functional environment for employees, clients, and visitors. This role involves managing building operations, coordinating maintenance, and implementing strategies to optimize performance within budgets and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding in Asset, Facility, and Office Management, developing and enforcing policies to support grounds and building upkeep while ensuring compliance and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning:

· Planning for future development and allocation space and resources.

· Prepare and manage the facility’s operating budget, including maintenance, utilities, and supplies.

· Source and procure necessary materials and services at competitive rates.

2. Maintenance. & Repair:

· Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules.

· Performing routine maintenance, repairs and inspections and ensuring that equipment and building systems are up to code.

· Performing update to the Operation System Update.

3. Facility Operations

· Ensuring that the facility complies with legislation and regulations.

· Oversee daily operations of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security.

· Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulationsthat staff are kept safe.

4. Managing Contractors:

· Preparing tenders, supervising contractors and negotiating contracts.

· Monitor service quality and ensure contractual obligations are met.

5. Managing Projects:

· Planning and managing renovations, refurbishments, expansions and office moves.

· Plan and implement office layouts and workspace solutions to optimize functionality and efficiency.

6. Managing Services:

· Directing and coordinating services such as reception, security, cleaning and waste disposal.

7. Data Analysis:

· Collecting, analysing and interpreting data to improve performance and make informed decisions.

8. Emergency and Risk Management:

· Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.

· Ensure facilities are equipped and prepared for emergencies, including fire safety and evacuation protocols.

· Responding to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise

Facility Manager need a variety of skills, including communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, decision-making skills and the ability

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Proven experience in managing facilities preferred to have knowledge of Telco Facilities.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with software integration and system upgrades.
