Job Title: Service Advisor (Automotive)

Reports To: Service Manager / Aftersales Manager

Job Summary:

The Service Advisor acts as the liaison between customers and the service department. This role is responsible for understanding customer vehicle concerns, accurately documenting service requests, and coordinating with technicians to ensure timely and high-quality repairs. The Service Advisor must ensure customer satisfaction through professional communication, transparent service explanations, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers professionally and ascertain their vehicle service needs.
  • Prepare job orders accurately and ensure all customer concerns are clearly documented.
  • Coordinate and schedule vehicle servicing and repairs with the workshop team.
  • Provide clear explanations of recommended services, costs, and time estimates to customers.
  • Follow up with technicians and provide timely updates to customers on repair status.
  • Conduct pre- and post-service walkarounds to check vehicle condition.
  • Ensure all repair works are completed according to company standards and customer expectations.
  • Manage warranty claims, service campaigns, and recall notifications as required.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
  • Promote service packages, maintenance plans, and additional services when appropriate.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum SPM or equivalent; Diploma in Automotive/Mechanical/Business-related field is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in the automotive service industry or customer service role is preferred.
  • Good understanding of vehicle systems and servicing requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and service management systems (e.g., Dealer Management System).
  • Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written).

  • May require extended hours or weekend work depending on service volume

Job Types: Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2,000.19 - RM3,000.60 per month
