Nature and aim of the position You are to support the product development and pre-sales efforts for Global Blue’s Added Value Payment Solutions (AVPS) team. AVPS develops, markets, sells, implements, and supports card and alternative payment transaction processing products, solutions and services across the globe. Customers include merchants, PSPs, acquirers, processors and card schemes. Hotel, hospitality and retail are key industry segments. The responsibilities broadly encompass each quadrant of the 4P approach to product development (product, place, price, and promotion) with respect to AVPS products, solutions and services. You will report to Head of Global Product Development & Pre-Sales. Main duties and responsibilities o Participate and contribute throughout the product development lifecycle for AVPS products, solutions, and services including: o market research and analysis, o requirements and use case definition and documentation, o marketing collateral content creation and delivery, o knowledge base content creation and delivery, o marketing activity support, o commercial / pricing definition and support. o Provide pre-sales support to sales, relationship and business development channels for AVPS products, solutions and services. Relates and cooperates mainly with o AVPS sales, relationship and business development teams. o GB country teams involved in AVPS opportunities. o AVPS project office. o AVPS software development teams. o AVPS implementation and support teams. o GB central marketing team. Specific skills and knowledge o Excellent written and verbal English. o Business acumen and strategic thinking. o Strong communication and interpersonal skills. o Research, analysis and critical thinking skills. o IT literate and conversant with payment technology space. o Subject matter expertise (some or all, in order of priority): o merchant acquiring and payment card acceptance experience/exposure in the hotel and retail industry segments, o general experience/exposure to payment card acceptance across physical payment devices and eCommerce, o experience/exposure to integration between PMS/POS and payment device infrastructure o Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) and Multi Currency Processing (MCP), o payment card transaction processes and flows. o Active relationships with key decision makers / stakeholders amongst merchants, acquirers, PSPs, card schemes, alternative payment schemes etc is highly regarded.
