Sheet Metal Production Leader

Job Description: "1. Production Oversight:" • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sheet metal workers and production staff. • Ensure production schedules are met and products are manufactured to specifications. • Monitor the use of materials, tools, and equipment to minimize waste and maximize efficiency. 2. Quality Control : • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements. • Implement and enforce quality control procedures throughout the production process. • Address and resolve any quality issues or defects. 3. Process Improvement: • Identify opportunities to improve production processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. • Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices. • Collaborate with engineers and other departments to optimize workflows. 4. Team Management: • Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff. • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and experience. • Foster a positive and productive work environment. 5. Safety Compliance : • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed in the production area. • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents. 6. Reporting and Documentation: • Prepare and maintain production reports, including output, efficiency, and quality metrics. • Document any issues, incidents, or deviations from standard procedures. • Communicate production status and challenges to upper management 7. Equipment Maintenance: • Coordinate the maintenance and repair of sheet metal machinery and equipment. • Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition. • Schedule regular maintenance to prevent downtime. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in sheet metal fabrication is preferred. • 3+ years of experience in sheet metal production, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques, tools, and equipment (e.g., shears, brakes, rollers, welding equipment). • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC machines used in sheet metal production. • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. • High level of precision and attention to detail in overseeing production processes. • Relevant certifications in sheet metal fabrication and weldment are an advantage
