Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Conduct regular financial performance analysis and provide insights to senior management to drive business decision-making.
- Oversee financial reporting to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the general ledger, month-end closing, and financial reporting.
- Review and analyze financial transactions and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Monitor and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with both internal and external requirements.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and reduce risk.
- Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit and ensure timely completion of all statutory and regulatory filings.
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee the development and performance management of staff, including training and development.
- Manage and optimize the company's cash flow, ensuring the availability of funds for operations and growth.
- Monitor working capital and ensure effective management of accounts receivable and payable.
- Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management for long-term planning and decision-making.
- Assist in financial due diligence for potential business ventures, partnerships, or expansion opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or equivalent is a plus).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, ideally in the retail or manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar systems) and advanced Excel skills.
