  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Big Data Administrator – CarTrip Programmer

Job Purpose:

To ensure the successful delivery and ongoing support of the CarTrip Programme by administering Big Data platforms, coordinating with multiple teams, and maintaining systems that enable Risk business users to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of the CarTrip Programme’s technical components.
  • Coordinate implementation efforts across cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.
  • Support and maintain products developed team with on-ground support from teams
  • Administer and manage Hadoop/Big Data infrastructure including:
  • Installation, upgrades, configuration, and troubleshooting of Hadoop clusters.
  • Node commissioning and decommissioning in active clusters.
  • Kerberos authentication setup and ACL management.
  • Perform data transfer, backup, and restoration operations.
  • Generate timely reports and dashboards on Big Data platform health and usage.
  • Create, load, and manage data within Hive.
  • Optimize SQL queries and conduct performance tuning.
  • Manage space utilization across systems for high availability.
  • Perform server administration, including OS-level scripting and automation.
  • Collaborate on ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

Key Deliverables:

  • On-time delivery of project milestones in line with SLAs and KPIs.
  • High-availability and performance of Big Data infrastructure.
  • Accurate and timely reporting for Risk decision-making.
  • Streamlined data processes and improved data accessibility for end users.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in Hadoop Administration (Cloudera/Apache preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle database administration.
  • Proficient in Hive, SQL, and performance tuning techniques.
  • Experience with ODI (Oracle Data Integrator) is highly recommended.
  • Hands-on with Kerberos, ACL management, and secure data transfers.
  • Good scripting skills in Unix/Linux Shell and Python.
  • Exposure to Apache Spark is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MPP database platforms (e.g., Teradata, Greenplum).
  • Experience in BAU support and SLA-based service delivery.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
