Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated part-time teacher to deliver engaging and effective lessons in Economics and Business Studies to secondary school students. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a critical understanding of economic and business concepts, preparing them for external examinations and further education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Economics and Business Studies in accordance with the school’s curriculum framework (e.g., IGCSE, A-Level, IB, etc.)
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic excellence.
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly using a variety of assessment tools and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and review as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of student achievement and attendance.
  • Liaise with colleagues, parents, and school leadership regarding student performance and development.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Economics, Business Studies, or a related field.
  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., Diploma in Education).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
  • Familiarity with international curricula such as Cambridge IGCSE, A-Level, or IB is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for teaching and the ability to motivate students of diverse backgrounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM40.00 - RM86.88 per hour
