
SITE SAFETY SUPERVISOR
Job Description:
1. Full time Site Safety Supervision: Responsible in becoming the assigned full time site safety supervisor for any of the company’s ongoing project, which includes supervision of safety working procedure implementation at site, compliance to safety regulations & standards & registration to relevant authorities.
2. Implementing Safety Policies: Responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures in accordance with ISO 45001 requirements & ensuring these policies are effectively communicated to all employees and subcontractors working on the site.
3. Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification: To conduct regular risk assessments and identifies potential hazards on the site & work closely with project teams to develop appropriate controls and preventive.
4. Training and Education: To provide safety training and education to employees and subcontractors, ensuring they are aware of safety protocols, procedures, and emergency response plans, which include toolbox talks, safety inductions, and specialized training sessions as needed.
5. Safety Inspections and Audits: To conduct regular inspections and audits to identify any non-compliance issues, safety violations, or areas for improvement. To also ensure that corrective actions are taken promptly to address any identified deficiencies.
6. Incident Investigation and Reporting: To investigate the circumstances and root causes In the event of an accident, incident, or near miss, by preparing incident reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. To also ensure timely reporting of incidents to relevant authorities, as required by law.
7. Management & Supervision for Compliance with ISO 45001: Responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective occupational health and safety management system based on ISO 45001 requirements. To become the main PIC to work with management and other stakeholders to supervise & ensure compliance with the standard, including conducting internal audits and facilitating external certification audits.
8. Emergency Preparedness: To develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first aid provisions, and coordination with relevant emergency services. This also includes preparing safety corner, conducting drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of these plans and ensure that employees are prepared for emergencies.
9. Continuous Improvement: To proactively promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement by monitoring safety performance, analyze trends, and identify areas for enhancement. To also implement corrective and preventive actions to continually improve safety standards and reduce incidents.
10. Safety equipment maintenance: Responsible to ensure that all safety equipment & PPE are adequate properly maintained. Tasks may include periodic facility fire inspections, getting fire extinguishers charged regularly, verifying that first aid kits are properly stocked and ensuring that company vehicles and equipment are serviced following an appropriate schedule.
11. General Regulatory compliance: Responsible for ensuring that companies are in compliance with all safety-related regulatory requirements, including OSHA standards, and Environmental Protection Agency requirements.
12. General: To provide assistance to the Team Leader, Head of Department & Management in day-to-day technical operations and any other tasks relevant to the job title
Qualifications:
- SPM or Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) certification from DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health) is required.
- Holding a valid Yellow Book is highly encouraged.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in safety supervision at construction sites.
- Strong understanding of local safety regulations, risk assessments, and hazard control measures.
- Experienced and knowledgeable in working at height, including relevant procedures and safety requirements.
- Skilled in supervising lifting operations with a thorough understanding of safe lifting practices.
- Familiar with electrical safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of solar systems and components.
- Proficiency in using monitoring and data analysis software.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections.
- Effective communication skills for reporting and coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
