Position Summary

The role will be responsible for identifying suppliers and managing vendor relationships to ensure the timely and cost-efficient procurement of goods and services.Manager, Business Administration & Support

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for Business Administration & Support (BAS) objectives and deliverables, establish optimum staff strength required for the unit and identify areas for improvements to produce higher standard of results and good working conditions for BAS staff to perform their functions.
  • Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the delivery of essential services within Flight Operations, ensuring the highest standards of performance and compliance with regulatory requirements. This includes setting clear objectives and deliverables for the BAS unit, establishing the optimum staff strength required, and identifying areas for improvement to enhance overall operational efficiency and create a positive working environment for the team.
  • Assess and allocate optimal resources to enable BAS to fulfil its responsibilities effectively, directly contributing to the success of Flight Operations. By identifying process inefficiencies and addressing operational breakdowns, ensures a seamless workflow, minimizes disruptions, and drives continuous improvements in the department.
  • Managing the scope and resources for audits within the department. To analyse audit findings and observations, ensuring the implementation of corrective actions and submitting evidence of closure for any identified issues.
  • To coordinate and oversee the procurement of crew services, including managing contracts for crew night stop hotels, airport transfers, and uniforms/accessories and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
  • As a mentor and leader, the Manager will provide guidance to direct reports and team members, helping them enhance their skills and fostering a culture of self-improvement. Responsible for developing and maintaining the BAS Departmental Manual, ensuring its alignment with operational standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Operations Planning & Support to perform any additional tasks as delegated, contributing to the overall success of Flight Operations.

Qualification & Working Experience

  • Possess a degree in any discipline with 8 years of working experience, preferably in operations areas, or
  • Diploma in any discipline with 12 years of working experience, preferably in operations areas, or;
  • High School Certificate (STPM/SPM) with 15 years working experience, preferable in operations areas..

Personality Traits

  • Knowledge in IT, Document Management, Understanding of workflow and processes.
  • Ability to perform data analysis and recommended analytical decision.
  • Strong attention to detail, able to multitask and process driven.
  • Excellent verbal communication, and the ability to convey important information clearly and effectively.
  • Quick decision making, good at problem solving and multi-tasking.
