QA/QC Geophysicist will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and accuracy of geophysical data collected from field operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Requirements: • Accumulated at least seven (7) years professional experience in their relevant profession, before engaging in consultancy work. • Ability to work in a field environment, including travel to remote locations as required. • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and terrains. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on geophysical survey data, ensuring that all data is collected, processed, and reported in accordance with industry standards. • Review and analyse geophysical data (e.g., seismic, magnetic, gravity, and electrical resistivity data) to identify errors, inconsistencies, or anomalies and recommend corrective actions. • Implement and monitor QA/QC protocols to verify that geophysical methods, equipment, and data processing are meeting the required specifications. • Work closely with geophysical field teams to ensure that data collection methods and techniques are consistent with project requirements. • Provide technical support for field operations, addressing issues that arise during data collection and processing. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including geophysicists, engineers, and project managers, to ensure project milestones and timelines are met. • Conduct regular audits of field data collection procedures and equipment to maintain operational excellence. • Prepare and present QA/QC reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to senior management and clients. • Stay up-to-date with the latest geophysical technologies and trends to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant with industry standards. Qualifications: • Strong experience in field data collection, processing, and interpretation for various geophysical techniques (e.g., seismic, magnetic, gravity, etc.). • Proven expertise in QA/QC methodologies and data validation processes. • Experience with geophysical software tools for data analysis (e.g., [insert relevant software, e.g., OASIS montaj, Geosoft, etc.]). • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
