Overview The Sales Engineer - Solar and Energy Efficiency will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of the renewable energy business by offering cutting-edge rooftop solar PV solutions combined with IIoT-driven energy efficiency technologies. The candidate will be responsible for managing technical sales, preparing tender documents, and ensuring customer satisfaction through tailored solutions. Responsibilities 1. Technical Sales and Consultation • Provide technical consultation to customers, explaining the benefits of rooftop solar PV systems and IIoT-driven energy efficiency solutions. • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for solar PV installations. • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to prospective clients. • Analyze customer energy needs and propose customized solar PV solutions. 2. Tender and Proposal Management • Prepare, review, and submit tender documents for government and corporate projects. • Collaborate with internal teams to gather all required technical and financial documentation for tenders. • Ensure timely submission of high-quality tender proposals that meet client and regulatory requirements. • Follow up on tender results and manage post-tender processes, including contract negotiations. 3. Sales and Business Development • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the rooftop solar PV market. • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, government agencies, and industry partners. • Collaborate with the marketing team to support lead generation activities and campaigns. • Track market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategies. 4. Project Coordination • Act as the main point of contact between the client and project teams during the sales process. • Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to ensure smooth project handovers. • Provide support in resolving technical or commercial issues during project execution. 5. Reporting and Analysis • Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analyses. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of sales activities. • Provide feedback to management on customer needs, challenges, and market opportunities. 6. Compliance and Documentation • Ensure all sales activities comply with local regulations and industry standards. • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project documents. • Keep up-to-date with relevant certifications, licenses, and technical standards related to renewable energy. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the renewable energy sector. • Experience in handling tender documents and government/commercial tenders is a must. • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, energy efficiency technologies, and IIoT solutions. • Proficient in using sales CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Familiarity with solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope) is an advantage. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities. • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and project follow-ups. • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability initiatives.
