ESH Engineer

Job Definition - Manage and co-ordinate internal and external Occupation Health Safety Audits and Assessments to ensure company standards are met and legal requirements are in compliance - Promote culture/values which need to be embraced by organization, are aligned with goals, strategies and plans - Anticipate, recognize, evaluate and control detrimental health effects caused by interface of individuals with the working and living environment - Ensure that potential environment impacts are minimized and internal and external requirement are managed while reducing the liabilities of the company Responsibilities - To conduct briefing on safety to all visitors/guests/vendor upon entry to the factory - Ensure all personal protective equipment (PPE) or safety tools/sign meeting company safety standard - To provide safety training to all new hires and employees including for in-house fire evacuation training/drill. Work with external body on first aid training, forklift training, boiler inspection etc, coordinating with safety committee - To conduct daily safety briefing for each department based on the schedule, sharing of activities or learning lesson in town-hall session - To conduct and chair monthly safety meeting with safety committee based on schedule and present on routine plan unsafe hazard, unsafe behavior and approach - To document all safety related document particularly required by regulation - To update safety evacuation route map and make sure all the safety signs , fire extinguisher, are in proper place and reachable - To investigate and report any accident happening in the factory, report to statutory boards Job includes all health and safety matters, handling and waste disposal, factory's environment housekeeping, etc - To advise to Production or other relevant departments prior approval the job order at factory area for the contractor, to check and ensure that the contractor is equipped with the standard safety tools, license, insurance Qualifications & Experience - Diploma or Bachelor's degree in related field - 5 years in related experience Ability, Skills & Knowledge - Computer literate - Good communication and interpersonal skills
