About the Role Snappymob is growing fast, and our People & Culture team is rapidly expanding. We are looking for a Senior People Operations Manager who is passionate about aligning business objectives with leaders and employees, driving operational effectiveness, and leveraging analytics to enhance HR processes. Reporting directly to the Head of People & Culture, this role will play a key part in optimizing and managing HR operations, processes, and programs to support Snappymob’s growth. The ideal candidate has a strong background in HR operations, excellent organizational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will also have the opportunity to lead and mentor an HR Admin intern, with the potential to grow your team as the company scales. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic HR leadership in managing a multicultural, multinational workforce, ensuring inclusive people practices and alignment across culturally diverse teams. Lead cross-border HR initiatives and develop policies that accommodate the unique needs of a company employing a significant number of expatriate staff across functions. Apply over 8 years of regional HR partnership experience to support the execution of international people strategies, including inter-country team integration and mobility planning. Oversee the end-to-end management of immigration, visa, and work permit processes, including MDEC and TalentCorp-related documentation, renewals, audits, and compliance. Serve as the primary HR liaison for expatriate workforce matters, ensuring a seamless and compliant onboarding process for foreign employees across business units. Develop frameworks that bridge operational and cultural gaps between local and expatriate employees, promoting a cohesive, collaborative working environment. Leverage software and digital industry HR experience to support the rapid pace and technical demands of a growing innovation-driven business. Provide strategic mentorship and leadership to junior local HR staff, including overseeing the development and training of a local HR intern, with the goal of building future HR leadership capacity. Serve as a subject matter expert on MDEC-related processes, ensuring all HR documentation and workforce plans are aligned with digital industry compliance standards and regulatory expectations. Guide the organization through complex regional HR landscapes, including workforce mobility, regional labor laws, and organizational development strategies suited for cross-border teams. What would you need? 5+ years of broad generalist HR experience with expertise across multiple HR functions. 8+ years of client-facing HR experience, partnering with leaders and employees to drive HR initiatives. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and strong familiarity with Malaysian labor laws and regulations. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with strong interpersonal abilities to engage effectively at all levels. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, plan effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiencies. Previous experience in the software industry is a plus. Why join us?
