Key Responsibilities:
Employee Onboarding & System Setup:
- Install and configure Windows operating systems on new staff PCs.
- Set up user accounts for email and file storage systems.
- Install and configure Microsoft Office, other essential software applications, and required tools for all employees.
- Ensure new employees have all necessary access to internal systems (email, file servers, etc.) and set up workstations according to company guidelines.
Daily IT Troubleshooting:
- Provide ongoing technical support for staff by troubleshooting and resolving issues related to software, hardware, network connections, and system performance.
- Offer timely assistance in resolving system errors, connectivity issues, and other IT-related challenges to ensure minimal downtime.
Account & Access Management:
- Create, manage, and delete employee accounts for various platforms such as email, file storage, and internal software tools.
- Implement and manage access controls to ensure employees have the necessary permissions while maintaining company security standards.
Remote Work Setup & VPN Configuration:
- Set up and configure VPNs to allow employees to securely access internal systems and resources while working from home (WFH).
- Ensure seamless remote desktop setups, allowing staff to access company servers and applications from their home computers.
Maintenance & Updates:
- Regularly update software, including security patches, for all staff systems.
- Monitor and ensure systems remain compliant with company security protocols, such as antivirus and firewall management.
Training & Guidance:
- Provide staff with basic training and guidance on the use of internal systems, email, Microsoft Office, and other software tools.
- Create and update user guides for common troubleshooting issues or software usage.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role, ideally in a corporate HR environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, Office Suite, and commonly used business applications.
- Hands-on experience with configuring and managing email accounts, file storage systems, VPNs, and remote desktop setups.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively and efficiently.
- Familiarity with network management and security best practices for remote work.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based systems and remote work tools.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems or IT helpdesk management.
- Basic understanding of networking protocols and security best practices.
