Job Purpose:
To maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the food manufacturing facility in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Cleaning Duties:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
- Wipe down surfaces including walls, doors, windows, and equipment exteriors.
- Clean staff facilities such as toilets, changing rooms, and pantries.
- Production Area Sanitation:
- Clean and sanitize production lines and machinery as per cleaning schedule.
- Ensure all cleaning is done to prevent contamination or cross-contamination.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and follow safety data sheet (SDS) instructions.
- Waste Management:
- Collect and dispose of waste in accordance with facility procedures.
- Ensure bins are emptied, cleaned, and lined regularly.
- Food Safety Compliance:
- Follow proper procedures for cleaning tools and equipment used in food contact areas.
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
- Documentation:
- Complete cleaning checklists and maintain accurate records of tasks completed.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Personal Hygiene & Safety:
- Adhere to personal hygiene policies (e.g., wearing PPE, no jewelry).
- Follow all workplace safety rules and procedures.
Requirements:
- Physically fit and able to perform cleaning tasks (e.g., lifting, bending).
- Able to work in a cold or hot environment, depending on the section.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, or public holidays (as required).
- Basic understanding of hygiene standards in food manufacturing (training provided).
