We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in our Kuala Lumpur office. In this role, you will collaborate with your direct manager to provide accounting shared services to our Hong Kong-based schools, focusing on transactional accounting, reporting, tax compliance, and financial reporting. Given our rapid and continuous growth, your tasks and responsibilities may evolve over time. We seek a candidate eager to develop and grow within this role, taking on additional challenges as they arise.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full set of accounts independently.
  • Prepare reporting packages and consolidated financial statements.
  • Provide daily accounting support, including analysis and preparation of relevant reports.
  • Participate in system improvement or process enhancement projects.
  • Develop financial forecasts and highlight key targets.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a multi-entity, international environment (experience in the education sector is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations (familiarity with Hong Kong regulations is an advantage).
  • Proficiency in Excel; hands-on experience with CRM systems and financial tools (e.g., Illumine, Xero).
  • Team player with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese is required.
  • Immediate availability preferred.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Assistant Accountant role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Kuala Lumpur: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
