Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to assist with Debtors Management, a key focus area currently prioritized by the Board. This internship offers hands-on experience in accounts receivable, financial record-keeping, and debtor follow-ups—playing a crucial role in supporting our organization's cash flow and financial stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in tracking and managing outstanding customer accounts.
  • Generate and review aging reports to identify overdue accounts.
  • Follow up with clients via email or phone regarding outstanding payments.
  • Update and maintain accurate records of communications and payment commitments.
  • Support the Finance team in reconciling debtor accounts.
  • Assist in preparing monthly debtors reports for management review.
  • Work with other departments (e.g., Sales, Customer Service) to resolve invoicing or billing discrepancies.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance debt recovery procedures.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Finance department as needed.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial data with integrity and confidentiality.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
