Job Description


Doka EAP is currently looking for a BIM Coordinator EAP with a comprehensive expertise in BIM and formwork, who will serve as the subject matter expert for all BIM-related matters.

Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering EAP, this position seeks a passionate and dynamic individual with a deep understanding of BIM and formwork. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity and innovation, consistently identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to drive the company's success. This position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing BIM implementation roadmaps in collaboration with the Head of Engineering EAP and/or other relevant stakeholders to align with and support our strategic goals
  • Sharing extensive expertise in BIM and Revit through both in-person and online training sessions
  • Gathering and analyzing user requirements to drive the evolution of processes and software developments
  • Continuously refining and updating workflows and processes to ensure a standardized approach for BIM designers
  • Researching emerging tools and technologies to enhance productivity in engineering and integrating them into the existing software ecosystem
  • Coordinating, setting up, and developing BIM models in collaboration with BIM designers, adhering to established workflows
  • Serving as the key communication link between BIM drafters and other stakeholders
  • Working on formwork projects 20% of the time

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering, or equivalent education
  • Minimum of eight years of extensive experience and expertise in BIM design and collaboration
  • Proficient in using BIM software (e.g., Revit, Tekla, NavisWorks, Solibri, etc.)
  • Experience in visual scripting and parametric modeling (e.g., Dynamo, Grasshopper, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of formwork technologies
  • Strong analytical skills and technical proficiency
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely to multiple stakeholders (e.g., clients, internal teams, etc.)
  • Proven ability to prioritize and adapt to changing business needs while managing multiple projects within strict deadlines and budgets
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a keen ability to offer suggestions and solutions to colleagues
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when necessary
  • Willingness to travel and remain flexible as required
