Responsibilities:
- Supervise, guide, and coach the accounts team to ensure effective performance and development.
- Ensure timely month-end closing and submission of accurate financial reports.
- Review and verify accounting entries, journal vouchers, and monthly accounts prepared by subordinates.
- Prepare year-end audit and tax schedules; liaise with external auditors and tax agents on statutory matters.
- Ensure compliance with all financial and accounting regulations imposed by relevant authorities.
- Present accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with MFRS, group policies, and legal requirements.
- Assess financial implications and ensure readiness prior to the adoption of new accounting standards.
- Act as the main liaison with auditors, tax agents, regulatory bodies, and other relevant parties.
- Perform any other ad hoc assignments as directed by the Management.
Job Requirements:
- A recognized degree and/or professional qualification in Accounting (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, MIA or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in the property development industry is an added advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and financial systems.
- Familiarity with IFCA.net system is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written.
- A team player with high integrity, attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Mature, self-driven, and able to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven supervisory, planning, and leadership abilities.
