About this role The Project Manager is responsible for the operational management of distinct mid-size local/regional projects or mid-size projects of a program and ensures that the overall project objectives are clearly defined and met. These projects are characterized by medium complexity, medium change and communications elements and important business impact. Responsibilities Manage a cross-functional team, owning the delivery of timely, high-quality, scalable, and well-tested solution Understanding clients’ real pain points and requirements, is deeper than written by clients themselves. Preparing proposal and quotation to close the deal. Advance a thriving team by cultivating a culture rooted in product/engineering ownership, and agility, and encourage innovative thinking in software delivery Stay current with the newest technologies; research new technologies and make recommendations on implementations in close collaboration between teams Join forces with leads of other teams including multiple operation teams, product management, product design, quality, other engineering groups, and key product stakeholders Understanding client requirements Analyzing the resource and time taken to complete a project based on the client’s requirements Preparing proposal and quotation to close the deal Manage the whole project life cycle. Project documentation (UAT, User Manual, etc) What You Need to Succeed: Manage software development team from multiple geographical locations. Manage and execute the whole software development life cycle (web and mobile apps). Liaise with all other internal departments and external parties to meet the product requirement. Monitor, analyze and improve operations efficiency and capacity. Manage problem resolution and change management process. Manage tasks, workflow, and programming tasks rotation. Experience with project methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Sprint Have an insatiable intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn quickly in a complex space Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization Possess strong communication skills and strong relationship, collaborative skills, and organizational skills Tools that we work with Tools: Slack, Asana, Git, Discord, Google & Microsoft Software, Kintone Qualifications Candidates must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree / Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, engineering or equivalent. Must be highly organized and systematic in planning and achieving target deadlines. At least 3 years of software project management experience. Strong project management skills and possess ability to multitask and manage multiple projects. Can Speak Japanese (N2 JPLNT ) Hands-on experience with the Asana project management tool or something similar Having PMP Certification is an advantage
