We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented QC cum Halal Executive to ensure the quality and compliance of our products, processes, and documentation in line with internal standards and Halal certification requirements. This role is crucial in upholding product safety, consistency, and our brand’s commitment to cultural and religious standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Quality Control (QC): - Monitor daily production processes to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards. - Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished products. - Record and report non-conformance issues and follow up with corrective actions. - Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards in production areas. - Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing SOPs for QC and food safety. 2. Halal Management & Documentation: - Ensure all processes, ingredients, and suppliers are in line with Halal requirements. - Maintain up-to-date Halal-related documents (e.g., supplier Halal certs, ingredient lists, traceability). - Coordinate and prepare for Halal certification audits. - Serve as the internal liaison with JAKIM / Halal certification bodies. - Keep track of Halal certificate renewals and submission timelines. 3. Compliance & Regulatory: - Ensure all documentation and records comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, HACCP, Halal). - Support audits (internal, customer, and third-party). - Stay updated on relevant food regulations, especially related to Halal certification. 4. Training & Awareness: - Conduct internal training or briefings on QC and Halal awareness to production and relevant staff. - Support team in developing a culture of quality and compliance. Requirements 1. Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or equivalent. 2. 1–3 years of experience in QC or Halal-related roles, preferably in food manufacturing. 3. Familiar with Halal certification process (especially JAKIM). 4. Basic knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards. 5. Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills. 6. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Nice to Have (Optional) 1. Experience handling audits. 2. Knowledge in Sirim / MeSTI / ISO / FSSC 22000 is a plus. 3. Passion for heritage food and interest in cultural values.
