Responsibility: • Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and oversee production schedules to optimize resource utilization, meet production targets, and ensure on-time delivery of products. • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods to minimize carrying costs while ensuring sufficient stock to meet demand. • Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Implement and maintain MRP systems to forecast demand, plan procurement of materials, and maintain optimal inventory levels. • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with transportation providers, warehouses, and distribution centers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products. • Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to establish efficient supply chain processes, negotiate contracts, and resolve issues related to quality, pricing, and delivery. • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of production planners, schedulers, and logistics coordinators, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments. • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, inventory turnover, and on-time delivery, implementing corrective actions as needed. • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes, reduce lead times, and enhance overall operational efficiency. • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations throughout the production and logistics processes, implementing quality improvement measures as necessary. • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for production and logistics operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing spending. • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in production and logistics operations, develop contingency plans, and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions. • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on production performance, inventory levels, logistics activities, and other relevant metrics for senior management review. • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as procurement, sales, and finance to align production and logistics activities with overall business objectives. • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies in all production and logistics activities. • Project Management: Lead special projects related to production expansion, process improvement, new product introductions, or logistical optimization initiatives.
