Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the cashier team in our busy retail supermarket. The ideal candidate will ensure excellent customer service, maintain accurate cash handling procedures, and support staff training and performance. This role plays a critical part in maintaining smooth front-end operations and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cashier team members on assigned shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and cash handling protocols.
  • Provide training, coaching, and support to new and existing cashiers.
  • Monitor cashier performance and provide regular feedback to promote efficiency and accuracy.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Open and close registers, prepare cash drawers, and reconcile daily transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of front-end areas.
  • Collaborate with management on scheduling, staffing, and workflow improvements.
  • Assist in inventory and supply management for checkout areas (bags, receipt paper, etc.).
  • Ensure adherence to safety and loss prevention standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in a retail cashier or customer service role.
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,800.00 per month
