Litigation Clerk Duties (Personal Injury / Accident Claims Focus): Correspondence: Drafting and sending letters to: Clients Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) Hospitals and clinics (to request medical reports, bills, etc.) Police stations (IPD) for police reports and investigation results Insurance companies (for claims, offers, and documentation) Liaising with Relevant Parties: Following up with: Insurance companies on status of claims and settlement offers Medical institutions for medical reports and bills JPJ for vehicle ownership and accident details IPD for investigation papers, final police reports, and sketch plans File Management: Opening and organizing physical and digital client files Maintaining updated records of correspondences and follow-ups Document Handling: Assisting in preparing supporting documents for claim submissions Photocopying, scanning, and compiling reports, bills, and receipts Client Coordination: Contacting clients to obtain required information or documents Updating clients on the progress of their cases General Administrative Support: Scheduling appointments for clients to sign documents Ensuring all documents are properly filed and deadlines are monitored Conveyancing File Handling: Opening, managing, and closing conveyancing files. Preparing checklists and file summaries. Document Preparation: Drafting and preparing Sale & Purchase Agreements (SPAs), loan documentation, and related letters. Preparing and filing statutory forms (e.g., Form 14A, 16A, CKHT forms, Borang PDS). Liaising with land offices, banks, and government agencies. Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Communicating with clients, bankers, developers, and government departments. Scheduling appointments for signing documents. Follow-ups: Following up on consent applications, adjudications, stamping, registration of title. Monitoring progress of disbursement and redemption of loans. Administrative Tasks: Handling payments such as stamp duty, land office fees, quit rent, and assessment. Keeping records of correspondences and follow-up action items.
