JOB POSITION: PRECISION WIRE CUT MACHINE SPECIALIST LASER AUTOMATION ENGINEERING SDN BHD seeks a PRECISION WIRE CUT MACHINE SPECIALIST to help design test our planned upcoming projects with crate dependable, hardworking products benefitting out company’s name • Operate CNC wire EDM machines • Align and level workpieces using dial indicators and CMM data. • Use U-V axis for 4-axis simultaneous machining. • Create wire paths using CAM software • Import 2D/3D models (STEP, IGES, DXF) into CAM. • Edit NC programs manually for last-minute changes. • Generate G-code and verify post-processed programs. • Integrate EDM paths with electrode burning or grinding plans. • Simulate real-time EDM erosion paths. • Use wire EDM to cut press dies, mold inserts, and gears. • Modify parameters to prevent micro-cracks or wire breakage. • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. • Export logs and NC code backup to ERP or DNC systems. • Manage offsets between CAD model and heat-treated parts. • Configure NC code for rotary or 5-axis wire EDM machines. • Manage multiple datum setups in a single program. • Analyze EDM discharge pattern consistency. • Align and level workpieces using dial indicators and CMM data. • Load and manage electrode wires (brass, molybdenum, coated). • Adjust tension, flushing pressure, and servo gap. • Handle submerge and non-submerge cutting modes. • Perform coreless cutting and slug management. • Set offset parameters for rough and finish passes. • Apply proper wire diameter selection (e.g., 0.25mm, 0.1mm). • Monitor wire breakage and real-time arc conditions. • Conduct dry-run and simulation for complex profiles. • Execute taper cutting and multi-angle settings. • Control wire cutting on hardened tool steels and carbide. • Perform auto-threading in deep hole and through-hole jobs • Assign machine-specific subroutines. • Avoid collision zones and overburns in CAM simulation. Requirement: The required skills for the position PRECISION WIRE CUT MACHINE SPECIALIST are as follow: Min 5 years’ experience in PRECISION WIRE CUT MACHINE Proficient in CNC Wire EDM Operation Skilled in generating and optimizing G-code and CAM tool paths. Adhering to machine safety procedures Implementing Kaizen or Six Sigma ideas in wire cutting Designing custom jigs and fixtures drawings and applying GD&T standards Creating tool paths in CAM software
