Job Description:

As a Purchasing Intern, you will work closely with the purchasing and operations teams to assist in sourcing, ordering, and managing supplies for our restaurant. You will play a crucial role in helping us maintain inventory levels, build relationships with vendors, and ensure the efficient operation of our restaurant. This internship will allow you to learn the ins and outs of purchasing, supply chain management, and the hospitality industry as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the sourcing and purchasing of food, beverages, and supplies for the restaurant.
  • Help maintain inventory levels and assist in regular stock audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Monitor and track orders to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality.
  • Assist with the preparation of purchase orders, invoices, and other related paperwork.
  • Support the team in researching new suppliers and evaluating product options for cost savings and quality improvements.
  • Assist in managing food and supply cost reports and other purchasing-related documentation.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure the needs of the kitchen and service team are met.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
