Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting department by managing financial records, assisting with cash handling, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist with daily financial transactions and cash handling processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Provide customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to billing and payments.
  • Communicate effectively with clients via phone, ensuring professional phone etiquette at all times.
  • Conduct outbound calling to follow up on outstanding invoices or payments.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of financial documents.
  • Support the accounting team in preparing reports and financial statements as needed.
  • Uphold confidentiality and security of sensitive financial information.

Qualifications

  • STPM or Diploma in Accounting
  • Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Accurately input financial transactions into accounting software and ensure records are consistently up-to-date.
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and processing of invoices and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and related documents to maintain accuracy.
  • Organize and maintain financial documents and records for efficient retrieval.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and support audit requirements.
  • Address inquiries related to accounts payable/receivable and resolve discrepancies promptly.
