Job Summary
The Investment Associate provides investment support for ib vogt APAC’s portfolio of renewable energy projects across our 10 markets in the APAC region. The Investment Associate will be involved throughout the entire project life cycle from development, financing, implementation, and asset management. The role requires close coordination within ib vogt’s functional divisions (engineering, development, finance, legal etc.) and with external stakeholders such as potential lenders and investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models to assess project viability, forecast cash flows, and identify potential risks
- Develop and implement sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to assess potential risks and opportunities
- Provide support for financial decision-making by offering insights and recommendations based on financial models
- Communicate financial information to stakeholders, including management and investors
- Support the structuring of project finance deals, including debt and equity arrangements
- Assist in the negotiation of terms with banks, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in the due diligence process for new investments, including gathering data, interacting with stakeholders, and preparing reports
- Assist with managing investment databases, tracking deal flow, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Contribute to partnership development and dialogue with corporate, financial, and governmental stakeholders to accelerate deal origination and policy development
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in an investment-related role. Experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus
- Extensive experience in financial modelling and advanced Excel functions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact, liaise and manage relationships with all levels of stakeholders
- Desire to work in a dynamic environment alongside people with multiple interests and background.
- High proficiency in Word, Power Point and Excel
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively
- Proficiency in English in both written and oral communication
