1. Construction Site Management • Responsible for providing leadership and guidance to Site personnel and Sub-Contractors; • Responsible for planning; leading; co-ordinating and monitoring building construction works at the site; • Responsible for all technical aspects of construction works for infrastructure and building; • Responsible for the project management of Sub-Con Site Activities; 2. Inspection • Reviews periodic reports from Site Supervisors on the discrepancies identified in the construction drawings that requires further attention and ensures that the discrepancies are rectified; • Carries out periodic site inspection with Sub-Contractors and ensures that all construction works are carried out in accordance with requirements and specifications; • Reviews all Architectural & Engineering drawings to ensure that all specifications and regulations are complied with; 3. Defects Management • Ensures that all captured defective works as reported by the Site Supervisors are rectified; • Ensures closure of compliance rate of captured findings within the stipulated time frame and report on the percentage rate of compliance; 4. Resources Management (Utilization) • To review reports/ updates from Site Supervisors on the resources (manpower; material; machinery; equipment) of each trade at the work site; • To ensure proper utilization of all resources at Site and prevent wastage; • Responsible for implementing action plans to control and minimize wastage of building materials; 5. Resources Management (Allocation) • To ensure timely requisition and procurement of resources for Site; • To ensure timely and adequate allocation of resources at Site; 6. Safety & Health • To ensure that all safety regulations are being implemented and complied with; • To ensure that all workers at the work site are properly attired and equipped with safety equipment eg. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) etc; 7. Budget/ Cost • To assess and evaluate the cost and quantity of building works with respect to labour and materials; • To track and control construction schedules and related costs to achieve completion of projects within time and monies allocated; 8. Reporting; Documentation & Work Processes • Reviews regular reports from Site Supervisors on work progress at the Site; check on any reported difficulties; corrects any safety violations/ reported difficulties; • Responsible for reporting the progress of projects to General Manager, Construction to meet policy objectives; modification plans (where necessary); • To lead in continuous work process improvement in line with the Quality Management System that is in place; 9. Management of Workers • Responsible for reporting the movement of all Site Personnel for Cost Centre allocations; • Reviews performance of Workers.
