PRECISION DESIGN SPECIALIST

JOB POSITION: PRECISION DESIGN SPECIALIST ALLIANCE CONTRACT MANUFACTURING SDN. BHD. seeks PRECISION DESIGN SPECIALIST to help design test our planned upcoming projects with create dependable, hardworking products benefitting out company’s development. • Develop 2D and 3D models for high-precision components using CAD software. • Create detailed part drawings with tight tolerances and accurate dimensions. • Design mold bases, core/cavity structures, sliders, lifters, and inserts for plastic injection molds. • Design progressive and transfer dies for high-volume stamping operations. • Generate electrode designs for EDM processes with burn clearance considerations. • Apply GD&T principles accurately in all drawing specifications. • Develop assemblies and exploded views for design presentation and documentation. • Perform tolerance stack-up analysis for critical component interfaces. • Use surface modeling techniques for complex, freeform shapes. • Apply parting line and draft analysis to ensure manufacturability. • Design with manufacturability and machinability in mind for mold and die components. • Use reverse engineering techniques to redesign legacy parts. • Design precision jigs and fixtures for holding and inspection purposes. • Create standard component libraries (ejectors, pins, bushings, etc.) in CAD systems. • Model components with precise fit for wire cut and grinding operations. • Modify designs based on mold flow or FEA analysis reports. • Create parametric models for fast design changes and version control. • Implement BOM (Bill of Materials) within design documentation. • Apply mold shrinkage compensation accurately in part design. • Design cooling system layout for thermal balance in mold cavities. • Create cavity/core separation and slide/angle pin mechanisms. • Design thin-wall or micro-featured plastic parts with critical tolerances. • Utilize hybrid solid-surface modeling for overmolded or multi-material parts. • Conduct mold flow analysis for weld lines, sink marks, and flow balance. • Analyze design issues with cooling, venting, or ejection. • Validate tolerance stack-ups using statistical and worst-case analysis. • Perform thermal analysis to prevent hotspots or warping in injection molds. • Modify designs based on tooling feedback or post-molding defects. • Design jigs for precision machining and assembly. • Create fixture designs for part inspection using CMM. • Work with programmers to ensure CAM compatibility with design files. • Generate and maintain technical drawings and design files Requirement: The required skills for the position PRECISION DESIGN SPECIALIST are as follow: Min 5 years’ experience in PRECISION DESIGN Expert in 2D & 3D design Deep knowledge of Precision Mold Design Able to design Tool & Die Wire Cut (EDM) Design Compatibility Injection Molding Process Knowledge Root Cause Analysis in Design Failures Expertise in using Advanced CAM Software Expertise in setting up CNC machines knowledge of CNC programming languages write, modify, and optimize CNC programs Understanding and applying GD&T
