  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure all purchase requisitions and supplies for materials, chemicals, machinery, services etc fulfil the company’s needs and requirements
  • Identify and source for local and overseas purchases- handle contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers
  • Liaise with finance, admin and relevant departments for financial arrangements and any contractual obligations with suppliers.
  • Manage supplier relations and maintain ideal suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability
  • Raw material receiving and issuing and also the monitoring of raw material inventory level from time to time.
  • To ensure all products are properly identified, handled, stored, packed, preserved and delivered.
  • Manage stock control and adhere to best practices in warehousing, handling and data storage system
  • Ensure internal purchasing, planning, warehousing and shipping controls are in place and followed
  • Responsible to ensure the purchasing, warehousing, planning control and related activities are meeting the ISO9001, ISO14001, IATF16949 and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Keep records and update of documentation with accurate monthly and yearly report for submission to the LMW (Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse) Customs Officers/Department in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all incoming and outgoing dutiable and taxable items, including machinery, scraps, WIP, rejects etc, are properly documented for Customs declaration process.
  • Lead and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for Customs compliance audit, LMW license and BON renewals
  • Be the checkpoint and coordinator for shipment and order with proper filing and records for all shipping, forwarder, supplier, customer and also customs documentation, license and cross border legislation requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Language Required: Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Diploma/ Degree (Preferably in Science Discipline)
  • 2- or 3 years' experience in Purchasing Job in Manufacturing environment and MS Office
  • Resourceful, Strong communication, negotiation and good interpersonal skill
  • Some knowledge in shipping/ logistic/ customs procedures/ inventory control
  • Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 documentation and implementation.
