JOB POSITION: LATHE FABRICATION MACHINIST EXPERT LASER AUTOMATION ENGINEERING SDN BHD seeks LATHE FABRICATION MACHINIST EXPERT to help design test our planned upcoming projects with crate dependable, hardworking products benefitting out company’s name • Operate CNC and manual lathes for turning, facing, and threading operations • Set up and program CNC lathes and multi-axis to create precise cylindrical parts. • Perform multi-axis turning operations, including tapering, boring, and internal threading. • Set up fixtures and collets to secure complex parts for CNC lathe processing. • Perform advanced TIG, MIG, and Stick welding on metals • Weld complex geometries and thin-walled components with minimal distortion. • Develop and optimize welding procedures and specifications for fabrication projects. • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to plan welds and fabrication • Use CNC-based welding robots for high-precision repetitive welding tasks. • Program CNC lathes and mills to integrate both machining and welding processes for complex parts. • Develop, edit, and optimize G-code for welding-specific CNC lathe operations. • Write and modify CNC programs using CAM software • Integrate probe cycles for part verification and in-process measurement during fabrication. • Perform toolpath optimization for CNC welding operations to improve efficiency and reduce cycle time. • Conduct CNC program debugging and fine-tuning to resolve errors or conflicts in execution. • Weld assemblies that are to be used in laser systems, ensuring no impact on laser performance. • Operate and maintain welding equipment, including TIG welders, MIG welders, and plasma cutters. • Fabricate custom fixtures and tooling for complex welding tasks. • Inspect and test welds using visual inspection, ultrasonic, X-ray, and dye penetrant methods. • Repair defects in welded parts by re-welding or grinding to meet specifications.
