Sales Growth & Revenue Generation:- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets
- Identify and secure high-value B2B accounts
- Expand retail distribution through new store partnerships and channel development
Business Development:- Prospect and onboard new business partners (distributors, retailers, wholesalers)
- Negotiate profitable contracts with pet-related businesses
- Develop trade marketing sales programs for bulk buyers
Account Development & Management:- Develop & manage key accounts to ensure repeat business and maximize account potential
- Implement account growth strategies through upselling and cross-selling
- Resolve customer business issues and maintain high satisfaction levels
Sales Leadership & Team Management- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales representatives and account managers
- Set clear KPIs and performance targets for the sales team and monitor progress
- Conduct regular sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews
- Foster a high-performance culture with accountability and motivation
- Identify skill gaps and implement coaching programs to improve team effectiveness
- Resolve conflicts and ensure team collaboration for maximum productivity
Sales Operations:- Monitor sales performance metrics and implement improvement plans
- Provide market intelligence and competitor analysis
- Collaborate with marketing on promotional campaigns and sales collateral
Drive revenue growth and market expansion for our pet retail through strategic sales initiatives and leading a high-performing sales team. This role focuses on driving offline business growth, acquiring new corporate accounts, coaching and motivating the sales force, expanding retail partnerships, and maximizing sales performance across all channels.Required Competencies:- 5+ years in B2B sales/business development (retail, FMCG or pet industry preferred)
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets (RM 5 million / year)
- Strong network in retail/pet industry (desirable)
- Excellent negotiation and deal-closing skills
- Financial acumen (P&L understanding, margin management)
- Willingness to travel 50-70% of time
