BHD. seeks a PRECISION TURNER MACHINE SPECIALIST to help design test our planned upcoming projects with create dependable, hardworking products benefitting out company’s development. • Develop G-code and M-code manually for complex turning cycles. • Create optimized tool paths for high-speed CNC turning. • Generate multi-axis lathe programs. • Interpret 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings. • Apply GD&T principles in program strategy. • Simulate and verify programs using CAM or offline software • Use CAD/CAM software to generate turning programs. • Develop canned cycles for roughing, finishing, boring, and drilling. • Perform part program optimization to reduce cycle time. • Create custom macros for automated cycles and repetitive operations. • Operate twin-spindle and live tooling CNC lathes. • Design in-process gauging for critical dimensions. • Program threading cycles. • Develop canned cycles for roughing, finishing, boring, and drilling. • Perform part program optimization to reduce cycle time. • Perform dry run checks to avoid machine crashes. • Setup bar feeders and part catchers. • Conduct manual intervention to correct offsets during production. • Change inserts and maintain tool life records. • Align tools and set tool offsets correctly. • Install and verify proper workholding systems. • Adjust machines for concentricity and runout. • Use bar feeders or chucking systems effectively. • Program and set up tailstocks, steady rests, or sub-spindles. • Operate both horizontal and vertical turning centers. • Handle turning machines with twin spindles and Y-axis. • Implement vibration control in long part turning. • Use advanced tool geometry for difficult materials. • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100 quality standards. • Program for heat-resistant alloys and hard materials. • Implement probing routines for in-process inspection. • Perform first article inspection using precision tools. • Maintain dimensional accuracy per blueprint specs. • Verify tolerances using CMM or vision systems. Requirements The required skills for the position PRECISION TURNER MACHINE SPECIALIST are: Min 5 years’ experience in PRECISION TURNER MACHINE Proficient in CAM software Proficient in 2-axis to multi-axis turning Expertise in GD&T Candidate must possess relevant education certification Knowledge of multi-axis lathe programming Familiarity with SPC and Lean Manufacturing Manual and CAM-based CNC programming
