Requirement and Job Description: • A recognized Degree in Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification and a chartered accountant registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. • 4 to 10 years’ experience in external audit and/or technical related matters. • Assist the Partner in charge in developing, customizing and rolling out Audit Methodology related matters. • Commitment for research, analysis and information seeking, with appreciation and awareness of the commercial, regulatory and legislative aspects in the application of financial reporting and auditing standards. • Able to perform The Internal Monitoring Programme (IMP)reviews and will work to benefit the overall improvement in quality over time. • Able to conduct audit and accounting training for the more junior staff and to conduct the trainings on a more frequent basis. • Commitment to technical excellence, demonstrating intimate working competency with ISAs and MFRS. • Lead the firm’s Audit Tool (Software) implementation initiative. • Provide general assistance to Partners on technical and audit related matters. • Current or prior experience as in-house technical department in an audit firm and/or member of a technical committee of a professional accounting body will be an advantage. • Good interpersonal, communication, presentation, work ethic and writing skills. • Strong self-motivation and a capacity for multi-tasking/teamwork. • Proficient in English. Mandarin is not required but an added advantage. • Exposure to areas such as internal audit, corporate finance and corporate exercises will be an added advantage.
