TIG WELDING SPECIALIST

JOB POSITION: TIG WELDING SPECIALIST LASER AUTOMATION ENGINEERING SDN BHD seeks a TIG WELDING SPECIALIST to help design test our planned upcoming projects with crate dependable, hardworking products benefitting out company’s name • Perform TIG welding on various materials, such as stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, and other alloys, as specified by project requirements. • Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions with precision. • Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, ensuring proper machine calibration and operation. • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements. • Select and install appropriate tungsten electrodes, filler rods, and shielding gas for specific welding tasks. • Interpret complex blueprints and weld symbols accurately. • Repair or rework defective welds to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of TIG welding equipment. • Maintain accurate records of completed work, including weld logs, inspection reports, and project progress. • Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, or polishing to ensure proper weld adhesion. • Use pulsed TIG welding for heat-sensitive components. • Weld pressure vessels and sealed parts meeting leak-proof requirements. • Prepare laser-cut edges for precise TIG welding. • Weld laser-machined parts requiring tight tolerances. • Coordinate TIG welds on pre-engraved or post-etched parts. • Apply TIG welding to support hybrid welding systems • Inspect welds visually and with magnification for cracks, undercuts, or porosity. • Maintain traceability for each weld performed. • Perform destructive and non-destructive test samples. • Follow cleanroom or contamination-controlled welding protocols. • Use bore scopes to inspect internal weld joints in tubular parts. Requirement: The required skills for the position TIG WELDING SPECIALIST are as follow: Min 5 years’ experience in TIG WELDING Advanced TIG welding Technical Welding Skills Ability to read complex technical drawings Root cause analysis of weld defects Cleanroom welding protocols Familiarity with GD&T and blueprint interpretation
